Ideas

Talk about being an Agent and helping the Numberjacks.
•
Look for numbers around the home that match the ten Numberjacks 0-9 (on a phone, remote control, watch or
clock).
•
Look for shapes around the home, especially squares and triangles.
•
Practise drawing shapes or making shapes with straight things (e.g. straws, pencils, spaghetti,...).
•
Play the Bloop Ball game on the trial site to help your child practise counting and recognising numbers, or the
Reflector Game to explore shapes.
•
Play with the Twisty on the Trial Site to practise recognising numbers.
This mission sequence includes three extracts from missions in Mission to Learn,
to give a feel of being an agent, interacting with the rich mix of video, audio and
images to be found in the program. The extracts focus on recognising and
knowing numbers, shapes, and counting.
Vocabulary: six, number, shape, square, triangle, oblong, agent, mission,
launcher, red, green, yellow.
